In the video that spread rapidly on social media, a Syrian individual recording the moment expressed their astonishment, saying, "Strange, how is this possible? How did it get here?"
Following the incident, Mustafa Kurt, President of the Kocaeli Bus and Minibus Drivers Chamber, made a statement, jokingly saying, "We have launched a route from Kocaeli to Damascus, just so everyone is aware." Kurt then explained the actual situation as follows:
"In accordance with regulations, we sell scrap vehicles. A friend from Syria has been taking old vehicles there for a while. We were very pleased to see vehicles belonging to Kocaeli in Damascus. After the fall of the regime, people returned to their normal lives, and our vehicles are serving the people there. We are planning to visit Damascus and see the vehicles operating there. May it be for the best. They may have purchased and utilized the vehicles due to the crisis. As far as I know, they had bought nearly 50 vehicles from here and have started organizing routes. The paint on the vehicle is still in its original state."
