New video from lawyer Buket Nurşah Tekışık: 'This is the only statement I have made'

Lawyer Buket Nurşah Tekışık, who managed to become a trending topic in a short time with her social media posts and videos about her luxurious lifestyle, continues to be a subject of discussion.

Buket Tekışık, who has sought to deny the allegations against her through statements, has this time shared a long text and a video on her social media account.

Claiming that the luxurious lifestyle attributed to her is not real and that a lynching campaign is being conducted against her, Lawyer Buket Nurşah Tekışık shared the following lines on her social media account:

Hello, I am Attorney Buket TEKIŞIK,

For some time now, a lynching campaign has been senselessly conducted against me on social media, and baseless news reports are being published. Things I did not say/lies/falsehoods are being written as if they came from my mouth just to get engagement. It has become necessary to make a statement and respond to these reports that are unnecessarily occupying the country's agenda.

I have seen that a few photos I shared at the courthouse and an aphorism I wrote underneath were cut in half, interpreted with malicious intent, and used for very ugly posts.

I am a 28-year-old lawyer who graduated from the Cyprus International University. I have never made any statement to anyone until today claiming that I graduated from a different university.

I have been using a single license plate and vehicle in the form of BKT for a long time.

Even though the vehicles I use change, my license plate does not. All the vehicles I have used from the past to the present, which have the same license plate attached, are being shared as if I have many vehicles. There are tens of thousands of wealthy people in the country who go on vacation abroad and rent cars (the car I shared on Instagram and used in Paris is a car I rented for 200 Euros), and share photos from luxury venues and vacation spots. There are many colleagues who share photos from the courthouse. An perception is being created as if I have committed a crime and earned money that way, and started living luxuriously. My family's financial situation was above average, sufficient to send me to study abroad and send me on vacations even when I was a student. I have not had any conversation with anyone about my financial situation being poor or having debts.

I have never worked on any file related to terrorism and organized crime, which falls under the jurisdiction of the prosecutor in whose office waiting room I took a photo, which has been the subject of news reports. I have not had any communication with any judicial member that would constitute a crime. I chose to stay away from social media for a while to avoid seeing the insulting comments of thousands of citizens and unfortunately my colleagues who do not act cautiously, and the ugly accusations that should not be directed at a young woman, and to avoid reacting in a way I would later regret.

I will immediately apply for legal remedies against those who make baseless news about me, make posts containing insults, and share my photos and private information that are currently not accessible anywhere without my consent. This is the only statement I have made on this matter to date. I am as uncomfortable as you are that a photo, which I never imagined would grow this much, has been occupying an agenda that has much more important issues for a few days, and for this reason, I apologize to all of you on my own behalf.
