On the program "Yeni Bir Sabah" (A New Morning) broadcast on Halk TV, journalist İsmail Küçükkaya announced that former Interior Minister Mehmet Ağar had called him. Küçükkaya stated that Ağar wanted to reach out to him regarding reports about Azerbaijani businessman Mübariz Mansimov.
THE MANSIMOV DEBATE
Mehmet Ağar's name has frequently been mentioned in connection with issues previously brought to the agenda by Sedat Peker. According to Küçükkaya, Ağar reached out to share his views on the developments regarding this matter. Referring to Mansimov, he said, "Let them check the state records to see how many times he has been to Pennsylvania."
SUPPORT FOR THE IMRALI PROCESS
During the phone call, Küçükkaya also reminded Ağar of his past political statements. Recalling Ağar's call years ago for "politics to be conducted in the plains," Küçükkaya asked how he views the current opening process led by Devlet Bahçeli.
Ağar stated that he supports the process, saying, "If results are to be achieved, who could say no?"
