Video message from İmamoğlu following detention order!

Following the cancellation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma, an investigation has been launched into the İBB.

Within the scope of the investigation, detention orders were issued for 105 people, including İBB Mayor İmamoğlu and his press advisor Murat Ongun.

İmamoğlu shared a video on his social media account following the detention order issued against him.

“I say this with sadness. A handful of minds trying to usurp the will of our nation have used my dear police officers, the security forces of this country, as tools for this evil, piling them up at the door of the home, the residence of 16 million Istanbulites,” said Ekrem İmamoğlu, adding, “We are facing a great tyranny, but I want you to know that I will not be intimidated. I love you all very much. I entrust myself to my nation. Let my entire nation know that I will stand tall. I will continue to fight against that person and his mind that uses this entire process like an apparatus.”
