The incident occurred around 14:00 near the Örnekköy Marketplace. According to the information obtained, H.U. (16) returned home and retrieved a pump-action shotgun after arguing with family members who refused to let him marry their daughter.

H.U., who fired at the family's house with the pump-action shotgun, was met with return fire from the family members, who also used a pump-action shotgun.

Upon notification of the situation, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was learned that 4 people were injured by shotgun pellets as a result of the clash.

Following the incident, the Karşıyaka District Police Department teams, who launched an operation to apprehend the suspects, took the 16-year-old youth identified as H.U. into custody along with the weapon used in the crime, based on witness statements.
