Police blockade at CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters! Entry and exit to the building closed
The CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters building, where a trustee was appointed to its administration by court order, has been blockaded by police. While entry and exit to the provincial building have been closed, party members and citizens have expressed their reactions.

Özgür Çelik, who was elected president at the 38th Ordinary CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress, and his administration have been removed from office by the decision of the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance.
Within the scope of the decision, Gürsel Tekin, Zeki Şen, Hasan Babacan, Müjdat Gürbüz, and Erkan Narsap were appointed as trustees. However, Babacan and Gürbüz withdrew from the board of trustees.
GÜRSEL TEKİN'S PLANS
Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee and announced that he would accept the duty, stated that he would go to the provincial headquarters on Monday, September 8, at 12:00 PM. It is alleged that CHP officials are planning to form a "human chain" in front of the provincial building.
CALL TO GATHER FROM YOUTH BRANCHES
The CHP Istanbul Youth Branch issued a call to gather in front of the provincial building at 11:00 PM. Following the call, citizens arrived in front of the Provincial Headquarters to show their support.
POLICE BLOCKADE
Numerous riot police teams were dispatched to the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters. While the roads leading to the building were closed, entry and exit were blocked by the police. Short-term arguments occurred between party members and security forces.
Making a statement in front of the Provincial Headquarters, Ali Mahir Başarır said:
"All roads leading to our Istanbul Provincial Headquarters have been blockaded by the Istanbul Police. We invite all Istanbulites here. Let us protect democracy together. We will not allow the usurpation of the national will!"
BAN DECISION FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
The Istanbul Governor's Office announced that a ban on demonstrations and marches will be implemented in the districts of Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Eyüpsultan, Kağıthane, Sarıyer, and Şişli until 11:59 PM on September 10.

CHP Istanbul Provincial President Özgür Çelik shared a photo of himself at the Provincial Headquarters on his social media account and wrote, "CHP is the people. We will protect our people's home. We are at our post."
