The incident involving İlker Tarık Ünal, a police commissioner serving in Geyve, took place at a residential complex in the Kemalpaşa Neighborhood of Sakarya's Serdivan district.
It was learned that Ünal, who was in the process of divorcing, came to the house to speak with his wife. During the argument, the commissioner flew into a rage, shot his daughter, his wife, and his own mother, N. Ünal, with his service weapon, and then committed suicide.
While the commissioner and his daughter lost their lives at the scene, his wife passed away at the hospital. The treatment of the commissioner's mother, who was taken to the hospital with injuries, is ongoing, and an investigation into the details of the incident has been launched.
