Following MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's handshake with DEM Party officials at the opening of Parliament and AKP President Erdoğan's praise for this contact, the debates surrounding the question of "Is a new resolution process coming?" continue.

While successive statements regarding the process have come from the ruling front, Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı made notable assessments on the subject during his YouTube broadcast.

ÖCALAN WANTS TO LAY DOWN ARMS

Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı claimed that PKK leader Öcalan and Selahattin Demirtaş are in favor of laying down arms. Kütahyalı added that Öcalan wants weapons to be laid down unconditionally.

Kütahyalı stated that transferring PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, who is imprisoned in İmralı, to a prison in Ankara would be a development in the interest of the state and Turkey.

'BEING HELD IN ANKARA IS IN THE STATE'S INTEREST'

Asking, "So that not one more Turkish soldier is martyred. So that the bloodshed stops completely. So that weapons are buried in the ground forever... This is our goal. Would it be more in the state's interest for Abdullah Öcalan to be held in İmralı, or in Ankara?" Kütahyalı continued his words as follows:

"I am asking this question to everyone. My answer is clear. It would be more in the state's interest for him to be held in Ankara. It would be more in Turkey's interest. For no more blood to be shed, for weapons to be buried in the ground, for the PKK's weapons to be buried in the ground, being held in Ankara is the option that is in the interest of Turkey and the Turkish state. Let's discuss this. İmralı should now be opened to tourism."

Kütahyalı shared the video containing these statements on his X account with the caption, "The time has come for Abdullah Öcalan to be transferred from İmralı to a high-security house arrest in Ankara."
