Roof blown onto bus: 2 passengers injured

A storm that intensified in Bursa during the evening hours, reaching speeds of 80 kilometers per hour, paralyzed daily life. Numerous roofs were blown off, trees were uprooted, and citizens struggled to walk on the streets. In Tophane, a piece of a roof that had been blown off collapsed onto a municipal bus. 2 passengers were injured. The Governor's Office warned citizens, stating that the storm would continue until 15:00 tomorrow.

The Bursa Governor's Office had previously warned citizens against strong winds from the south, which were expected to be effective until 15:00 tomorrow, cautioning them against falling trees and poles, flying roofs, and stove and natural gas poisoning.

In the evening hours, the storm, which reached speeds of 80 kilometers per hour, brought life to a standstill. Numerous trees were uprooted in the central districts of Osmangazi, Yıldırım, and Nilüfer.

In the Tophane neighborhood, a roof that had been blown off collapsed onto a municipal bus.

While the bus's rear window shattered, 2 injured passengers were taken to Çekirge State Hospital by ambulances. Trees were also uprooted in the Tophane neighborhood.

Trees were uprooted due to the storm in Setbaşı, Yıldırım, the near-ring road, Haşimişcan Street, Çirişhane, City Square, and many other locations.

While numerous roof-blowing incidents occurred, awnings and hard objects were also sent flying through the air.

AFAD, fire department, police, and 112 emergency health teams were placed on high alert, while Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş continuously received information from the crisis center.
