Saadet Party's Hasan Bitmez has passed away!

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca announced that Saadet Party Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez, who suffered a heart attack, has passed away.

While the deliberations on the 2024 Central Government Budget Law Proposal were ongoing at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Saadet Party Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez, who was delivering a speech, had collapsed at the podium.

Bitmez, who received initial intervention from IYI Party deputy and doctor Turhan Çömez, had been taken under treatment at the Ankara Bilkent City Hospital.

In his statement, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said, "Saadet Party Deputy Chairman and Kocaeli Deputy Mr. Hasan Bitmez, despite all interventions in the intensive care unit of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital where he was being treated, could not be saved and passed away today at 11:50."

SCANDALOUS REMARKS FROM AKP BENCHES

It was recorded in the TBMM minutes that while Saadet Party Deputy Hasan Bitmez was suffering a heart attack during his speech regarding the continuation of trade with Israel, shouts of "This is what God's wrath is like, God's wrath" were heard from the AKP benches as he fell to the ground.

In a statement made by the Saadet Party, it was said, "Our Deputy Chairman and Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez has returned to God. We pray for God's mercy upon him; we extend our condolences to his family, our community, and our dear nation."

WHO IS HASAN BİTMEZ?

Born in 1969 in Alucra, Giresun, Hasan Bitmez completed his primary education in Istanbul, graduated from Gebze Imam-Hatip High School, and studied at the Faculty of Usuluddin at Al-Azhar University.

After serving in various levels of the National Youth Foundation (Milli Gençlik Vakfı), he served as the Deputy Chairman in charge of Organization between 1999 and 2004.

He served as the president for a term of GİLMDER [Gebze Imam Hatip High School Alumni Association], of which he was a founder.

Between 2008 and 2010, he assumed the role of Chairman of IYFO [International Youth Forum], of which he was also a founder.

He served as a Board Member of IIFSO [International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations] between 2006 and 2010, and as the President of the Shura Council between 2010 and 2014.

Within the framework of humanitarian aid efforts, he delivered aid from the Saadet Party and the Cansuyu Relief Association to various countries such as Indonesia, Chad, Cameroon, Nigeria, Sudan, Ghana, and India.

He continued his political work, which began in the Refah Party Gebze District Organization, in the Fazilet Party and the Saadet Party.

After serving in various positions at the Saadet Party Headquarters, he served as the Deputy Chairman in charge of Election Affairs and Deputy Chairman in charge of Organization.

He assumed the role of Headquarters Election Headquarters President in the 2014 Local Administration General Elections.

He was the Saadet Party Deputy Chairman in charge of Foreign Relations and a member of the Headquarters Audit Board of ESAM [Economic and Social Research Center].

Married and a father of one, Bitmez spoke Arabic and English. He was elected as the 28th Term Kocaeli Deputy in the May 14, 2023 elections.

Bitmez passed away on December 14, 2023, at Bilkent City Hospital, where he was taken after falling ill at the TBMM.
