The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP)
Diyarbakır provincial building was targeted by a group that trampled on a 'TKP flag' and shared a video of the act.

'SHEIKH SAID' ATTACK

Using the heading Sheikh Said, the group shared a post stating, 'Şex Said rumeta me ye' (Sheikh Said is our pride), and added the caption, ''Long live AMED! The people of Amed have taught the fake communists a lesson.''

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Following the announcement by the trustee-managed metropolitan municipality in Diyarbakır that it would name a new road Sheikh Said Boulevard, the TKP Diyarbakır Provincial Organization had issued a statement saying, "We are responding to the Trustee Municipality: We will not leave Diyarbakır to the enemies of the Republic."

The statement emphasized that Sheikh Said defended the sultanate against the Republic and the caliphate against secularism, and expressed that the communist Kurds of Diyarbakır would struggle to keep the names of figures like Cîgerxwîn, Musa Anter, and Yılmaz Güney alive on the city's streets.
