A stunning theft occurred in Mersin in recent days. A suspect who came to the hospital parking lot posing as a patient and stole a vehicle was identified through security camera footage and apprehended by police teams.

CONDUCTED RECONNAISSANCE BEFOREHAND
According to the information received, an individual who came to the Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Hospital posing as a patient conducted reconnaissance in the hospital parking lot before leaving.
The suspect then returned to the parking lot in a pickup truck to steal the vehicle he had targeted, breaking the rear window to enter and stealing the car by hotwiring it.
CAUGHT ON SECURITY CAMERA
Upon receiving the report, police teams launched an investigation and examined security camera footage along the route the suspect had taken. As a result of the pursuit, the teams apprehended the individual just as he was about to flee.
The suspect, in whose residence an unlicensed handgun and the stolen vehicle were found, was arrested by the judicial authorities to whom he was referred.
