Suspect in Esenyurt harassment incident arrested

The suspect who harassed a woman walking on the street with her child in Esenyurt has been arrested by the court.

The incident occurred on November 29 in the Süleymaniye neighborhood of Esenyurt. The driver, F.K., who was driving his vehicle on the street, approached a woman walking while carrying her child. The driver, who waited for the woman to pass in front of him, leaned out of his car window and harassed the woman by touching her with his hand.

The individual fled the scene by speeding away in his vehicle, while the woman, shocked by what had happened, continued walking after a short while. Those moments were captured by a security camera on the street.

Police teams examining the security camera footage identified the suspect through the license plate. F.K., whose address was determined, was apprehended and taken into custody by police teams. After completing the procedures at the police station, F.K. was referred to the courthouse.

The suspect was arrested by the court and sent to prison, and the news of his arrest was announced by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül in a post on his social media account.
