The first hearing of the case opened due to the incidents during the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe derby played last season in the Super Lig was held today. The case was opened on charges of "assault" following a complaint by Galatasaray Stadium Manager Ali Çelikkıran against Fenerbahçe figures.

As the tension between them escalated, lawyers and courthouse staff intervened to calm the parties down and escorted them in different directions.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe derby played on May 19, the yellow-navy team defeated their rival 1-0. After the match, the Fenerbahçe delegation, which did not leave the stadium, entered the pitch despite warnings and took a victory lap. Eventually, when some Fenerbahçe figures wanted to unfurl a flag and take a commemorative photo, Ali Çelikkıran attempted to intervene. Çelikkıran was assaulted by some individuals present at that moment.
