Around 15:00 near the District Governorate building on 2nd Street in the Yeşiltepe neighborhood of Silopi, an individual identified as I.B. attempted to tear the Quran. He was taken into custody by police teams. After giving his statement at the police station, I.B. was referred to the courthouse and subsequently sent to the Duty Magistrate Judge with a request for his arrest following his testimony at the Silopi Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
