Tragic accident in Adıyaman caught on camera: Car loses control and falls 150 meters into a creek bed
In Adıyaman, a police officer lost his life at the scene and a commissioner was injured after their car lost control and fell from a height of 150 meters into a creek bed. The horrific accident was captured second by second on security cameras.

According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 01 AGA 962, driven by police officer Güven Karaçur, who was assigned to the Adıyaman Provincial Security Directorate Riot Police Branch, lost control near the 400-Bed Hospital Junction on Atatürk Boulevard and struck the curb.
Upon hitting the curb, the car flipped over, knocked down a roadside lighting pole, and fell approximately 150 meters into the creek bed.
The horrific accident was captured second by second on the security cameras of a nearby business. Citizens who noticed the situation rushed to the scene and called the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Health teams, fire department crews, AFAD teams, and police units were dispatched to the scene. In the accident, 3-year police officer Güven Karaçur lost his life at the scene, while Furkan E., who also served as a commissioner in the Riot Police Directorate, was injured.
The injured commissioner was taken to Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital after receiving initial intervention from health teams at the scene. Teams worked for hours in the muddy creek bed to extract Güven Karaçur, who lost his life and was trapped inside the vehicle.
As the body could not be removed due to the mud, the crashed vehicle was lifted from the creek bed with the help of a crane and lowered onto the road.
The body was removed from where it was trapped following the work of the teams. Güven Karaçur's lifeless body was taken to the Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital Morgue by a funeral vehicle.
Meanwhile, Adıyaman Provincial Police Chief Cihat Dağdeviren arrived at the scene to receive information and conduct investigations regarding the accident.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
