Traveled 10,770 kilometers to commit theft
An individual in Başakşehir reported to the police that a bag containing 2 million 500 thousand TL was stolen from their car. Investigations revealed that the thief was a Colombian national. The thief, who was caught at the airport while attempting to flee to their home country, was arrested by the court following interrogation and sent to prison.

On December 15, M.S.K. went to the police in Başakşehir and reported that the right rear window of their parked vehicle had been broken and a bag containing 2 million 500 thousand TL, which they had withdrawn from the bank, had been stolen.
Teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau identified that the suspect was a foreign national after reviewing security camera footage from the scene and other cameras in the vicinity. Arnulfo D.R., who was detained at Istanbul Airport 3 days after the theft, was taken to the Public Security Branch Office.
CAME FROM 10,770 KM AWAY TO COMMIT THEFT
During a search of the "imported" thief and their backpack, 4930 Euros and 3385 TL in cash were seized. Following interrogation, the Colombian national, who had traveled 10,770 km to Istanbul to carry out the theft, was arrested and sent to prison.
