The Dragon capsule carrying Turkey's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı has successfully reached the International Space Station (ISS). Following this significant moment, the astronauts are preparing for the eagerly awaited welcome ceremony. The Axiom-3 (Ax-3) crew completed the necessary procedures after the spacecraft docked with the ISS and entered the station.
Axiom Space broadcasted the live moment when the Ax-3 crew, which includes Turkey's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, was welcomed by Expedition 70, currently stationed at the ISS. The Ax-3 crew's operation was completed successfully.
The astronauts and cosmonauts of Expedition 70, who have been at the ISS since September 27, 2023, welcomed the Ax-3 crew to the station. The vehicle carrying the Ax-3 crew successfully docked with the ISS at 13:42 TSI (Turkey Time) following a space journey that lasted approximately 36 hours.
