Turkey's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı is approaching the International Space Station (ISS) aboard the Dragon spacecraft carrying the Axiom-3 (Ax-3) crew.

The Dragon spacecraft carrying the Axiom-3 (Ax-3) crew, which includes Turkey's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, is approaching the International Space Station (ISS). Axiom Space is broadcasting the docking process of the Dragon capsule carrying the Ax-3 crew to the ISS live on its website.
Following a space journey lasting approximately 36 hours, the vehicle carrying the Ax-3 crew, including the first Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, is expected to dock with the ISS between 12:45 and 13:45 TSI.
The Ax-3 crew, upon reaching the ISS, will be welcomed by the Expedition 70 astronauts and cosmonauts who began their mission on September 27, 2023.
