Two buildings were evacuated in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan due to a landslide. Teams are continuing their work in the area where the landslide occurred.
In Eyüpsultan, a landslide occurred at a construction site in Güzeltepe Neighborhood due to the impact of heavy rainfall. It was noted that there have been no deaths or injuries reported so far in the incident, which took place in the early hours of the morning on Urfa Street.
According to the details of the incident, following the heavy rainfall that continued throughout the night, the seating area and fences of a park on the street slid toward the construction site. Upon notification, Eyüpsultan Municipality police teams arrived at the scene, conducted inspections in the area, and cordoned off the site. Municipal officials emphasized that they would conduct inspections to determine if there is any shifting in the foundations of other structures.
Neighborhood resident Salim Yıldız stated that the landslide, which occurred at the construction site in the morning hours, was caused by the effect of the morning rain.
