A funeral prayer was held at the Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara for TV programmer, presenter, and author Metin Uca, who passed away in the hospital where he was being treated following a traffic accident. Some individuals attending the funeral attempted a provocation.
Television programmer, author, and presenter Metin Uca was laid to rest from the Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara. His loved ones did not leave him alone in his final moments. During the funeral prayer, a group booed Uca's funeral. Some provocateurs were also seen shouting, "Hoca, Mr. Metin did not want his funeral brought to the mosque." Those attending the ceremony and the imam reacted to the group. The provocateurs later fled the mosque following the backlash.
After the funeral prayer, Uca's coffin, draped in the Turkish flag and wearing a Fenerbahçe jersey, was sent off with applause.
