The incident occurred at Gaziantep Airport around 22:00. An aircraft reported seeing an illuminated, unidentified object at an altitude of approximately 8-10 thousand feet that could not be detected by radar. Following this report, flights were temporarily suspended as a security precaution. After the flights were halted, the events on board an aircraft and the announcements made by the pilots were captured on a passenger's mobile phone camera.
SUSPENDED FLIGHTS RESUMED AFTER 3 HOURS
Following the suspension of flights, a detailed inspection was carried out at the airport and its surroundings. Once it was determined that no negative situation was encountered during the investigations, flights returned to normal after a pause lasting approximately 3 hours. While the possibility of the unidentified object being a drone is being considered, it was announced that the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
