A person who allegedly burned the Quran during a provocative act in front of the Turkish Consulate in London was attacked by a man and beaten with kicks and punches.

THE ATTACKER NEUTRALIZED THE ACTIVIST

In the incident that took place yesterday afternoon, a person who was alleged to be carrying a knife attacked the activist, who was holding a Quran. In the footage spread on social media, it was seen that the attacker beat the activist, took the book from his hand, and spat on it.

POLICE TOOK ACTION

Ambulance and police teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Authorities announced that the individual who carried out the attack was taken into custody on suspicion of "possession of an offensive weapon and causing grievous bodily harm."

Meanwhile, 38-year-old Salwan Momika, who made headlines last month with Quran-burning provocations in Sweden, was shot and killed in an armed attack at the apartment building where he lived. Momika was shot by a person who entered his home while he was live-streaming on TikTok.
