Village head kills rival candidate in Çankırı
In Çankırı, the village head of Yeşilöz stabbed and killed a rival candidate with whom he had a long-standing feud. The perpetrator has been taken into custody.

In the Çerkeş district of Çankırı, an argument broke out between Yeşilöz village head Kadir Y. (62) and rival candidate Erdal Dağıstan (45), who were reportedly already in a long-standing feud.
As the argument escalated, Kadir Y. stabbed Erdal Dağıstan. Upon notification, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Despite being rushed to Çerkeş State Hospital by ambulance following initial intervention at the scene, Dağıstan could not be saved.
Village head Kadir Y. was taken into custody by police teams.
