Clashes between army units and the terrorist organization YPG/SDF continue to intensify in Syria's Aleppo province. According to information from the field, elements of the organization carried out attacks on both military positions and civilian settlements.
ATTACK WITH UAVS AND HEAVY MACHINE GUNS
A military source speaking to Syria's official broadcaster Al-Ekhbariya reported that YPG/SDF members targeted several army positions and civilian homes around the village of Hamima, located east of Aleppo city, using unmanned aerial vehicles and heavy machine guns. No clear information was shared regarding whether there were any casualties in the attacks.
ARMY RESPONDS WITH ARTILLERY FIRE
It was reported that the Syrian army responded following these attacks. Al-Ekhbariya announced that army units targeted YPG/SDF positions stationed around Deir Hafer with artillery fire.
“CRIMES ON THE GROUND CONTINUE UNABATED”
Al-Ekhbariya television reported that a day earlier, a civilian attempting to leave the city of Deir Hafer on his motorcycle was shot by a sniper affiliated with the YPG/SDF stationed in the area. The channel described the organization's attacks on civilians in the region as “crimes on the ground.”
REINFORCEMENTS DISPATCHED
It was stated that the Syrian army has increased its military preparations due to the rising possibility of the clashes spreading. In the released footage, it was seen that military elements belonging to the army were sending reinforcements toward the Deir Hafer region, which is under the control of the PKK/YPG/SDF.
