Visitor ban following protest in Parliament

No visitors other than staff will be allowed to enter the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) between July 26 and 29.

In a notice sent to members of parliament by the TBMM General Secretariat, it was recalled that the TBMM General Assembly will continue its work from July 26 to 29 in accordance with the decision taken.

The notice stated that due to the intensity of the agenda, in order for members of parliament to participate more effectively in the General Assembly proceedings, no visitors or vehicles other than those of staff will be allowed to enter the TBMM on Friday, July 26, Saturday, July 27, Sunday, July 28, and Monday, July 29.

'STRAY ANIMALS LAW' HAD PASSED THE COMMISSION

The Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Animal Protection Law, known as the law that will lead to the euthanasia of stray animals, had been accepted by the TBMM Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission. Following this, some citizens protested the passage of the bill through the commission by chanting slogans in the corridors of parliament.
