Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek continues to announce precaution packages to lead the country out of its economic bottleneck.

Following the initial step of raising the minimum wage only once a year, it was also on the agenda that Şimşek would be working on credit cards.

While discussions continue regarding significant restrictions on credit cards, which millions of citizens use to make ends meet, an important warning came from former Ziraat Bank Deputy General Manager Şenol Babuşcu.

Stating that the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) has issued a warning to banks regarding credit card limits, Babuşcu said that all banks will be audited regarding their limits.

Here is that post by Babuşcu:

CREDIT CARD LIMITS

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency sent instructions to banks, warning those that assign excessive credit card limits to their customers.

It will audit all banks regarding limits. It is working on freezing the limits.
