Meteorological authorities have reported that there will be a significant change in weather conditions in Istanbul following the warm and sunny days that have persisted throughout the week. According to the latest forecasts, air temperatures, which will hover around 18-20 degrees throughout Friday, will show a rapid decline over the weekend.
The cold wave, which will enter the city from the west as of Sunday, will bring precipitation with it. It is predicted that sleet will be seen across the city, while snowfall is expected in the higher parts of the city. There is also a possibility that snow will accumulate on the ground, especially in high-altitude areas such as Çamlıca, Aydos, Kartal, and Beykoz.
For Monday, following the weekend, a warning has been issued regarding the risk of icing and frost as temperatures are expected to drop below zero at night due to the snowfall, which is expected to continue intermittently. Experts advise citizens to take precautions against potential adverse conditions.
