Warning-like words from Mehmet Uçum to the terrorist organization PKK! 'No one should fall under the illusion...'

Mehmet Uçum, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Legal Policies Board, stated in his article titled "No Passage for Sabotage Politics on the Path to a Terror-Free Turkey!" that "No one should fall under the illusion that they will achieve through law and democracy the impossible goals they could not and will never reach through terror."

The traffic of meetings continues in the second opening process, of which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is the architect, which the government calls a Terror-Free Turkey, and which is being conducted with the DEM Party and the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan.

While the commission went to İmralı last week, what was discussed in the aforementioned meeting was put on the table at the opening commission in the TBMM.

Mehmet Uçum, chief advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, made references to the terrorist organization PKK in his Sunday column this week.


Noting that the process is in the final stretch in his article titled "No Passage for Sabotage Politics on the Path to a Terror-Free Turkey!", Uçum used the following expressions:

"No one should fall under the illusion that they will achieve through law and democracy the impossible goals they could not and will never reach through terror. The framework for integration with the state and society is clear, its content is precise. No principle of the national accumulation and the national state is a matter of debate." 

The full text of Uçum's article is as follows:

"NO PASSAGE FOR SABOTAGE POLITICS ON THE PATH TO A TERROR-FREE TURKEY!

No one should fall under the illusion that they will achieve through law and democracy the impossible goals they could not and will never reach through terror. 

The framework for integration with the state and society is clear, its content is precise. No principle of the national accumulation and the national state is a matter of debate.

Those who think they will create a ground for plans to divide Turkey through law and democracy by loading meanings radically contrary to the law of the transition process and the perspective of developing and strengthening democracy, and to Öcalan's February 27 statement, will be left under it.

Of course, as always emphasized, the democratic political space will expand, and our democracy will be advanced and strengthened both with the steps to be taken in the transition process and with the reformist approaches in the integration process. Because after the weapons are completely laid down and systematic terror is destroyed, every issue that will be compatible with unity and integration can be handled on a democratic ground. No one should attempt to use this opportunity with other intentions, should not harm this historical opportunity, otherwise, those who attempt to do this will be the losers. 

There can be no democratic demand in the shadow of weapons. Social integration cannot be achieved with a language that damages national unity. 

Those responsible for completing the disarmament and dissolution process during the transition period must never give credit to saboteurs who emerge from within them or from outside, and to those who try to disrupt the Terror-Free Turkey process with impossible demands, provocative and destructive language. It is also essential to take a clear stance against those who are under the guidance of imperialist centers and exploitative states that have brought nothing but blood and tears to the region. 

The exposure and neutralization of systematic intellectual and physical sabotage that has emerged in a multi-faceted way in the final stretch and all saboteurs has turned into one of the priority issues. It is obvious that an intense effort must be made to prevent sabotage, to liquidate those who do it, and to prevent what will be done.

President Erdoğan said the following in his last group speech: “While speaking optimistically, in the light of our 23 years of experience, we are of course not ignoring these risks; as we approach the goal, exploitation mechanisms will be activated more. Those who will be unemployed when terror ends will work more overtime to prevent this. Those who do not want Turkey to get rid of this rusty shackle will not give up until the last moment. We are aware of all of these and we are prepared for all of them.” This warning of our President is extremely important, everyone should take it into account. It is clear that the State is ready for any possibility.

When we look at the final situation, the Commission has completed its listening studies with the İmralı visit. Now, it is expected that a legal-political perspective will be put forward with a comprehensive report and that the conditions for the legal regulations of the transition process will be formed. We are at the most important stage of the transition process. This is where we need to focus now. 

Political parties are expected to act with a great consensus and maturity, strongly highlighting the importance of the issue. First the Commission, then the TBMM as a whole, has the power to do this. 

Everyone has an obligation to show maximum care to turn this historical opportunity that Turkey has seized into reality. Those who exploit this great opportunity for personal, group-oriented, current political agendas and narrow party politics, or who avoid taking responsibility, will be held accountable before history and social conscience, and will go down in institutional and social memory as a black mark.  

It is seen very clearly that this time we are on the verge of success. By not doing things incompletely, by staying away from mistakes, and by taking the right steps, we will all succeed together in transitioning to a life without terror both in our country and in our region.
