Warning message from İmamoğlu to Erdoğan: 'Are a handful of malicious, ambitious people deceiving you again?'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has issued a warning to AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan through his latest social media post.

Starting his message by saying, "I am addressing the President and his circle!" İmamoğlu used striking expressions in his statement:

Are a handful of malicious, ambitious people deceiving you again with their betrayals? 

Are they setting you up for failure once more by using phrases like "the big radish" or "the tail of the calf"? 

Plots, lies, deceit, sedition, corruption, secret witnesses, forced slanderers, etc.—these are all empty pursuits. 

Enough with you being constantly deceived! It is this impoverished, struggling nation that pays the price. 

Look at the heavy price the nation is paying:

•45 billion dollars in reserves melted away in a few days.

•The 1.5-year economic program and the heavy price paid have gone to waste.

•Retirees, youth, workers, civil servants, and farmers have become destitute.

•Trust in justice has been shaken to its core, and the system has rotted.

•The nation, especially the youth, has lost hope for the future.

•The international investors you tried to convince by going door-to-door have left without even looking back, never to return.

I am issuing my warnings because we are now at one of the most critical turning points for the future of this country. 

If there is anyone left in the President's circle who truly loves him from the heart, rather than loving his position and power, they should warn him for the sake of this noble nation and the survival of our ancient state.

Thank God the nation has awakened and is making its warnings in the squares. The real, major lesson will be delivered at the ballot box.

The ballot box will come, and that handful of people who have no share in justice and law will receive their answer from the nation.
