Was Esila Ayık hospitalized? Statement from her lawyer

The claim that Esila Ayık, a chronic heart and kidney patient who was arrested on April 8 for carrying a "Dictator Erdoğan" sign at the Kadıköy Solidarity Stage, had been hospitalized has been denied.

It was alleged on social media that Esila Ayık had been hospitalized and placed in intensive care.

Ayık's lawyer, Ümit Özkan, stated that they had not received any such information, saying, "There are posts claiming she was taken to intensive care, but it is not confirmed. I have not been given any information. Lawyer Mr. Canberk is going to the prison. I will share the confirmation once I get it firsthand. Please do not spread unconfirmed information."

Lawyer Göksun Canberk, who went to the prison to obtain information about the situation, denied the claim that Esila Ayık had been hospitalized.
