A new development has occurred at Habertürk. It was reported that Alçı, who drew significant backlash following her controversial remarks, was dismissed by the TMSF management.
It was observed that Nagehan Alçı's name and photo had been removed from Habertürk's list of columnists and were only visible in the "Author Archive" section.
SHE WAS ALSO FIRED FROM TGRT
Nagehan Alçı had previously left TGRT, saying she was "tired" following her controversial remarks.
NOT FIRED, SHE MADE A CHOICE
Following the claims that she was "fired," Alçı made a statement on her X account. Alçı's statement is as follows:
"I would like to make a statement to correct the false news about me... When I started morning broadcasts on Ekol TV, I had to make a choice between Habertürk and Ekol because I became a full-time programmer for another channel. Therefore, shortly after reaching an agreement with Ekol, I left Habertürk by shaking hands with the TMSF management, on friendly terms, and after receiving my severance pay. About three months have passed since this development; this is a fact that can be found with a simple Google search, but the goal is not to report news, but to slander and smear!"
WHAT HAPPENED?
Alçı had sparked a new debate with her posts from the earthquake zone.
Sharing her "observations" regarding living conditions in container cities, Alçı had claimed that some earthquake survivors had "lost the reflex to spend money" and that a "lethargy" had emerged.
