News agencies recently reported on fake diplomas, with stories even suggesting that prices for fake diplomas have increased. As 12punto, we posed as customers and asked questions to a fraudster who produces fake diplomas. The fraudster claimed that there are people who have obtained fake diplomas and are currently working in government institutions.

It was discussed that fraudsters producing fake diplomas have raised the prices of these forged documents.
In other words, even the business of fraud was discussed through the lens of the economy.
As 12punto, we communicated with an official from a website that produces fake diplomas, posing as a customer, to investigate the details of the business.
When 12punto asked, “Can I work in government institutions with a fake diploma?”, the fraudster replied, “Yes, we are clear on this matter.”
FRAUDSTER: THERE ARE PEOPLE WITH FAKE DIPLOMAS IN GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS
When asked, “Are there examples of people who obtained fake diplomas and are working in government institutions?”, the fraudster replied, “Yes.”
The fake diplomas range from primary school level up to master's degrees. The individuals, who also provide a price list on their site based on the level of the diploma, claim that the diplomas are e-Devlet (e-Government) verified and even sufficient for working in government institutions.
According to the claims, the fake diploma is prepared in an official manner and registered into the e-Devlet system. It is also possible to carry out procedures for traveling abroad with this diploma. At the same time, the e-Devlet verified bachelor's degrees sold come with notary certification. The notary certification can be adjusted to be backdated or postdated upon request. According to the information on the site, a transcript document is also delivered to the buyer along with the diploma. Furthermore, it is claimed that the diplomas are also suitable for the Green Card.

When you search for “fake diploma” on the internet, the sites of these fraudsters appear with various images. Hundreds of images have been prepared on their sites to persuade customers, presented as examples.
The fact that these fake diploma sellers claim that even government institutions can be entered with a fake diploma brings to mind those who have been exposed for having fake diplomas.
The fake diploma scandal most recently made headlines in Cyprus.
It was registered by the court that former AKP MP and Presidential Advisor Hamza Yerlikaya used a fake high school diploma.
During the Parallel Structure operation, it was revealed that Hasan Başaran, who was arrested after it was discovered he entered TÜBİTAK with a fake diploma, was the husband of the niece of former Minister of Science, Technology and Industry Nihat Ergün. Former Minister Ergün had also confirmed this.
Additionally, there have been numerous reports in the media about doctors, lawyers, engineers, and architects with fake diplomas.
