It was stated that Şirin, whose real name is Muzaffer Şirin, was transferred to the hospital after his blood pressure dropped and was taken back to the Vatan Police Headquarters following the completion of his medical examinations.

According to information provided by journalist Burak Doğan, Şirin has multiple stents. Şirin, whose processing at the police station is ongoing, had been taken into custody in the morning hours as part of an investigation conducted against him.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had announced that an investigation had been launched into Şirin due to certain social media posts.

According to the statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was announced that Şirin was taken into custody under the charges of "Law No. 6222" (on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports), "publicly disseminating misleading information," "drug use," and "fraud."
