As a new process begins following the call from MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the DEM Party has traveled to İmralı to hold its second meeting with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Journalist İsmail Küçükkaya, host of the "Yeni Bir Sabah" (A New Morning) program on Halk TV, shared information he obtained regarding what was discussed during the meeting.

According to this, terrorist leader Öcalan told the DEM Party delegation, "I lived with a weapon in my hand for 30 years; now I want to serve peace without weapons."

Küçükkaya's statements on his program are as follows:

"A friend of mine called me from Ankara yesterday, a video call, I answered and we were talking. There was a member of parliament with him. After the pleasantries, this MP is someone who knows the Kurdish issue very well. While I had the chance, I asked, 'What do you say about this matter?' He explained. 'You know this delegation had come to us, I spoke with them too, and afterwards I chatted with Sırrı Süreyya, I will just say this much,' he said. Öcalan told the delegation; 'I lived with a weapon in my hand for 30 years, now I want to serve peace without weapons for the rest of my life. Do not judge me by what I have done until today. I want to do something else from now on. I want to serve peace,' he said."
