A new link has been added to the chain of events that confirms the popular saying, "it takes courage to enter the auto repair district."

Educator and author Ali Özdemir went to the auto repair district to solve a misfiring issue he was experiencing with his vehicle. The mechanics who examined the car could not solve the problem despite applying 4 different repair procedures to the vehicle.

When the last mechanic he visited demanded 20 thousand TL for labor and 40 thousand TL including spare parts, Özdemir gave up on having his vehicle repaired.

The internet came to the rescue of Özdemir, who could not find what he was looking for in the auto repair district. As a result of his research on the internet, Özdemir determined that the source of the problem was fraud in gasoline and LPG.

Özdemir's problem was solved after he started buying better fuel for his vehicle. The fraud in both the auto repair districts and the fuel sector showed the decay in Turkey from yet another perspective.

Turkey's roads are full of potholes, and its industrial sites and gas stations are full of these stories. The industrial cauldron is boiling, but unfortunately, what is inside is not cooking...

My modest domestic car was misfiring from time to time. Its pulling power would drop occasionally. I went to an acquaintance operating in the industrial site. He said, "The ignition coil is broken." I bought a new coil for 1500 TL and had it installed. The misfiring problem did not improve...

This time, he said, "I think there is a fault in the exhaust." I went to a workshop that was in shambles. The flexible part in the middle of the exhaust system was replaced for 1400 TL on the grounds that it was worn out. The misfiring problem still did not improve.

The first mechanic this time said, "There is a crack in the air filter cover. Too much air is entering from there." I paid 1000 TL and bought a sound, second-hand cover. The situation was still the same.

"The spark plugs might be faulty," I was told. 4 spark plugs were renewed. There was still no improvement.

"There is a fault in the 4th piston. The fuel is not burning completely. The valve might be faulty," I was told. I went to another mechanic. He said, "I will charge 20 thousand TL in labor to open the engine. The cost could reach 40 thousand including spare parts."

I did not have the repair done. I went to websites. I researched the causes of misfiring. I found information regarding the fact that a lot of fraud is committed in gasoline and LPG.

Upon this, I bought gasoline and LPG from a corporate, globally operating fuel company that sells them for 1-3 TL more. For 5 days, there has not been a trace of a problem in the vehicle...

This is the state of the country's repair and fuel sector. It is complete chaos, a complete disgrace...
