The Fırtına family, who lived in the house, had to abandon their home some time ago because trucks or semi-trucks kept flying into it.
At the Üçyol junction on the D-100 highway in the Koyulhisar district, heavy-tonnage vehicles coming from the direction of Ordu and reaching the end of the ramp to connect to the D-100 highway often veer off the road and crash into the house because their brakes fail or they are unable to navigate the road.
In the most recent accident that occurred yesterday, a semi-truck loaded with soft drinks driven by I.Ş. veered off the road after its brakes failed and became embedded in the second floor of the house. The driver escaped the accident without injury. The fact that no one was in the house prevented injuries and deaths. A section of the house has been rendered unusable.

Eyewitnesses to the event stated that this was the 6th accident, noting that a semi-truck or truck flies into the house every two years, and said that a solution must be found regarding the issue.
They also mentioned that the owner of the house, Şerif Fırtına, and his family were forced to move out of the house due to the accidents that have occurred.
The previous accident took place in 2023. In another accident that occurred in 2020, a truck loaded with logs flew onto the roof of the house after its brakes failed. The house, which had been repaired after that accident, has been rendered unusable again by this new crash.
