The access restriction imposed on Instagram by the BTK continues for the fourth day.
While there is great anticipation regarding when Instagram, which has nearly 60 million users in Turkey, will be reopened, a new statement on the matter has come from Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
Stating that access to Instagram was restricted because the requested steps regarding catalog crimes were not taken, Minister Uraloğlu said that Turkey has explained its sensitivities to Instagram officials.
"They tell us 'These are our company's rules' regarding some of our demands. Well, you are operating in this country." said Uraloğlu, adding, "Does this country not have laws? Of course it does. You are also obliged to comply with them."

Explaining that significant progress has been made in the meetings held with Instagram, Minister Uraloğlu said, "We have made significant progress. I believe they will take our sensitivities into account before too long."
Minister Uraloğlu stated that the access ban will be lifted once Instagram meets Turkey's demands.
