Metro Istanbul announced that the Taksim and Şişhane stations on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line and the F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be temporarily closed to service as of 15:00.

In a statement made via its social media account, Metro Istanbul provided the following information: "In line with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, as of April 19, 2025, until further notice;
The Taksim and Şişhane stations on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line and
The F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be temporarily closed.
During this period, our vehicles will not stop at the Taksim and Şişhane stations and will continue their journeys."
