WHO IS EMİN GÜMÜŞKAYA?
Emin Gümüşkaya was an actor who masterfully portrayed various characters in the Turkish cinema and television world for many years. Born on January 10, 1948, in Istanbul, Gümüşkaya stepped into his artistic career after graduating from the Istanbul State Conservatory. He had his first acting experience in 1985 with the character of the Adana Alcoholic in the series "Bay Alkolü Takdimimdir".
Gümüşkaya, who delivered successful performances in many theater plays and television series for many years, retired from the State Theaters in 2002. However, the master actor continued his artistic life without a break and has appeared in 56 films and series to date. Gümüşkaya appeared before the audience with the character of Remzi in the series "Hıçkırık" and successfully portrayed a character responsible for the garden work of the mansion as Cemile's husband.
WHY DID EMİN GÜMÜŞKAYA DIE?
Emin Gümüşkaya had been taken to an intensive care unit at a private hospital in Pendik due to lung failure. The master actor, whose health condition gradually worsened, lost his life at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
His colleague and close friend Zafer Algöz shared the news of his passing on his social media account with the following words:
"We have lost Emin Gümüşkaya. He was a senior colleague who always had a place in our lives. May God have mercy on him."
