WHO IS OSMAN NURİ CİVELEK?
Osman Nuri Civelek was born in Kastamonu in 1966. After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in the Azdavay district, he graduated from the Ankara University Faculty of Divinity in 1991. Civelek, who began his teaching career in 1992, successfully served as the Mayor of Azdavay between 2004 and 2024. Married and a father of three, Osman Nuri Civelek dedicated his life to serving Azdavay.
WHY DID OSMAN NURİ CİVELEK DIE?
Former Azdavay Mayor Osman Nuri Civelek was reported missing on Monday, November 11, 2024, and search efforts began. As a result of the investigations carried out by gendarmerie teams, Civelek's car was found on the Suğla Plateau, and his lifeless body was discovered in a pond on the plateau shortly after.
Osman Nuri Civelek's body was transferred to the Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital for autopsy procedures.
Although no official statement has been made yet regarding the cause of Civelek's death, the possibility of suicide is being investigated.
