WHO IS NECATİ ÖZKAN?
Necati Özkan began his education at the Turkish Military Academy and the Ankara Faculty of Law, later completing an MBA in the Department of Business Administration at METU. In 1985, he founded the Öykü Agency, managing communication campaigns for national and international brands, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations. He also provided communication consultancy to leaders, candidates, and political parties. In addition to Turkey, he has provided political consultancy in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Georgia, and Hungary. He has organized training sessions and seminars on strategy and election campaign management in over 25 countries.
He served as the president of the Dialogue International Network between 2012 and 2015, and as the president of the European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC) between 2014 and 2016.
In 2010, he was selected for the "World Dream Team" and won the Aristotle International Political Communication Grand Award in the same year. He received 2 Adrian Awards for the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism's international promotion campaign, and has won over 70 national and international awards for his election campaigns, including 16 Pollie, 10 Reed, 18 Polaris, 7 Felis, and 11 Golden Eagle Awards. In 2017, he was named one of the 100 most influential communication professionals in his field by the Washington-based Compol Magazine.
He worked as a columnist for the newspaper Radikal between 2014 and 2016, and has a total of five published books, including three authored books and two edited works.
He still teaches "Strategy" at the Istanbul Bilgi University Brand School and serves as the Vice President for Communications and a Board Member of the International Association of Political Consultants (IAPC).
