Chief Advisor to the President Oktay Saral became a trending topic with the statement he made while appearing on the 'Pazar Saati with Talat Atilla' program on TV100. On the program, Saral said, "I did not become a chief advisor to the president by earning it."

Continuing his statement, Saral said, "I always say this, thank God: I did not become a chief advisor to the president by earning it. I arrived here through the grace of God and the discretion of Tayyip Erdoğan. There are many more valuable and worthy people who could be in my place."

WHO IS OKTAY SARAL?

Born on March 18, 1967, in the Of district of Trabzon, Oktay Saral completed his education at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. After graduation, he began his professional career as a freelance civil engineer. However, his interest in politics led him to take on roles in local government.

Elected as the Mayor of Of in 1999, Saral held this position for 12 years. Following his experience in municipal administration, he was elected as an Istanbul deputy from the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in 2011 and entered the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. He served in the TBMM during the 24th legislative term.

Saral currently serves in the Presidency as a Chief Advisor to the President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
