WHO IS AHMED SHARA?
Ahmed Shara, known as the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), was actually born in Saudi Arabia in 1982, and his real name is Ahmed Hussein al-Shara. The pseudonym Muhammad al-Julani, which he used in the past, comes from the history of his family, who left their homes in Syria's Golan Heights during the 1967 war.
