WHO IS ÜMİT ÖZLALE?
Born on April 28, 1972, in Holzheim, Germany, Ümit Özlale is an economist and politician. Having served as the Head of Development Policies in the İYİ Party, Özlale began serving in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey as an İzmir Deputy following the 2023 general elections.
Continuing his education at Bornova Anatolian High School until 1987, Ümit Özlale completed his high school education at İzmir Science High School. He completed his undergraduate degree in the Department of Economics at Middle East Technical University and finished his master's degree at Boston College in the USA. Completing his doctorate in 2001, Özlale began working as a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Bilkent University that same year.
Taking significant steps in his academic career, Prof. Dr. Ümit Özlale received the title of associate professor in 2006 and professor in 2011.
