WHAT HAD BUKET AYDIN SAID?

Buket Aydın's widely discussed statement on social media is as follows;

"Throughout my life, my boyfriend, lover, husband, whatever, will never see even a piece of trash as a gift from me, except for birthdays. It's a birthday or New Year's, of course, I buy gifts, but I find everything else done outside of that to be very wrong. Because, inevitably, you end up putting yourself in a position to be used. If a man has taken you somewhere, he will pay your bill. This comes from the nature of masculinity. There is no such thing as 'I am a woman, I will pay.' I absolutely do not think of such a thing. I would not pay any man's bill. Even if he is a normal friend, he shouldn't take me out to dinner, brother. If he can't even treat me to a meal, he is not at the same status or the same eye level as me, and I kindly request that he not eat with me. 'Wouldn't you be with someone who is struggling financially?' and so on. These are all lies. Even a drum plays for its own kind. Everyone has their own life status, and you will be happy if you choose individuals suitable for that life status. You won't be happy with someone far below or far above your own level."
