Wife of Oğuz Murat Aci takes action against 'malicious' comments: She had withdrawn her complaint
It has been learned that Şükriye Aci, the wife of Oğuz Murat Aci, who died after being struck by 17-year-old Timur Cihantimur in Eyüpsultan, has withdrawn her complaint on the grounds that her material and moral damages have been compensated. Oğuz Murat Aci's father, Özer Aci, reacted to Şükriye Aci, stating, "I have not withdrawn my case."

Stating that his client moved to her mother's house with her son after the accident and started working, Aslan noted the following:
"Şükriye Aci, who is the greatest victim of the incident along with her 1-year-old child, learned with concrete evidence after the accident that compensation negotiations were being conducted without regard for her own and her child's rights, feelings, and thoughts, and she chose to pursue a legal struggle on her own to protect her and her son's rights.
The concrete evidence that led the client to learn of these events will be presented to the discretion of the public and official authorities if the baseless and hurtful allegations against her continue.
While criminal investigations into the accident were ongoing and preparations were being made by the people injured in the accident and Şükriye Aci to file material and moral compensation lawsuits, an agreement was reached as a result of negotiations conducted within the framework of Article 35/A of the Attorneyship Law No. 1136, following attempts by the family of the child dragged into crime—who is known to be detained abroad—to compensate for the damages resulting from the accident, and the victims' demands regarding material and moral compensation were met."
Stating that Şükriye Aci and 4 people injured in the accident submitted a petition to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office through their lawyers to withdraw their complaints, Aslan noted that the prosecution of the crimes subject to the investigation is not dependent on a complaint and that the judicial process will continue.
Aslan stated that Aci is trying to secure her rights within legal boundaries and continued as follows:
''Presenting this development to the public accompanied by unrealistic allegations such as 'the client has very good living conditions, drives a luxury car, and acted this way out of greed for money' is a product of malice. In particular, legal action will be taken against those who make insulting comments on social media without knowing the unique circumstances of our client, who lost her husband at the age of just 28 as a result of this tragic accident and is struggling to survive with her 1-year-old child.''
