Will there be changes in the Cabinet and the AKP after the elections? Statement from AKP Spokesperson Çelik

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave a message of change at his party's group meeting.

While stating that the winner of the local elections was the People's Alliance, he noted that they had received the message given by the voters and said, "We will make the necessary changes in line with the demands of the nation."

Hours after these words by Erdoğan, the AKP Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK) met under the chairmanship of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The meeting in the AKP Conference Hall was held behind closed doors.

AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made a statement regarding the MKYK agenda.

Çelik began his statement by reacting to the moves of Israel and Greece. Çelik stated that the allegations that the economic management and Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek would be dismissed were not true and that President Erdoğan had full confidence in them. Çelik said that the calendar for the change in the Council of Ministers and the AKP was not yet determined and that the discretion rested entirely with President Erdoğan.

Our President and Chairman has made evaluations regarding domestic and foreign policy. We had stated that Netanyahu and his team were pursuing a deliberate, calculated, and systematic policy to increase tension in the region. Netanyahu and his team are chasing a risky scenario so that a regional war breaks out and the US is included in this war. The US and other countries need to be prudent about this. The policy of genocide against Palestinians has caused the deaths of nearly 40 thousand people. The negative conditions here continue before the eyes of the world.

With the tension that arose with Iran, we were once again faced with a picture that would encourage the Netanyahu government. Israel directly hit Iran's Damascus Embassy. Iranian officials also lost their lives in this attack. When a country's diplomatic mission is attacked by another country, a picture emerges where the whole world should stand up.

However, when the attacker was Israel, everyone remained hypocritically silent on this issue. There was condemnation from the world for Iran's retaliatory attack. The US said it would impose embargoes and restrictions. Well, these reactions towards Israel are not being brought to the agenda. Sanctions are not applied fairly and equally. The basis and essence of the problem consist of this. We express that all these developments should not make people forget the main issue in Palestine. A ceasefire must be achieved and the two-state solution must be pursued in the strongest possible way.

Even before our party was founded, we had visited the US with our President. I was by his side during that visit. Our President said at that time, 'Hamas is not a terrorist organization, it is a resistance organization.' He has not taken a step back from the principles he put forward regarding Hamas. We are doing everything we can at full capacity. We see this as a matter of national politics. The Palestinian issue is not an ordinary foreign policy issue for us. It is a part of our national politics.

Recently, there was a normalization process between us and Greece. While all normalization efforts were continuing nicely, there is a problematic step. Greece is organizing an oceans conference. It is displaying an approach towards declaring two regions in the Aegean and Ionian seas as marine parks. We evaluate this unilateral declaration of a marine park, which sabotages this normalization process, as a unilateral violation. We state that Turkey will not allow approaches to declare marine parks in any way. We hope they act with common sense. At the point reached today, there is undoubtedly no room for more tension and violence in the region. Those who give advice to Israel on what dose and in what way it should retaliate are advanced democracies and economies. They need to tell Israel to abandon this aggressive attitude.

Some speculations are being circulated on social media regarding our minister Mehmet Bey, who runs our economic program. Our President's support for this issue is full. As the AK Party, we thank the economic management and express that we support them.

In our studies, we are evaluating the numerical results of the election and the situation in various provinces. We have reached the stage of evaluating the political result. If there is to be a change in the MYK or the Council of Ministers, this is undoubtedly at the discretion of our President.

Since June 7, no action has been taken that could mean supporting Israel in any way from the public sector. In the matters of the private sector, the restriction on the 54 units announced by the Ministry of Trade has been completely brought under control.

The words 'war fuel is going from here' are speculative. The Palestinian cause is part of our national politics. Let alone supporting it, we continue our stance against the actions of Israel's Netanyahu government. If new topics come to the agenda, if new issues arise, we will not hesitate to implement these restrictions and take new decisions. Within the framework of these questions asked, no trade is allowed.
