MAK Consulting Chairman Mehmet Ali Kulat made a noteworthy claim regarding Murat Kurum, who has returned to the cabinet, during a live broadcast on Halk TV.
"KURUM'S REAPPOINTMENT IS NOT SURPRISING"
Stating that it is not surprising for AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to reappoint Murat Kurum despite his election loss, Kulat said, "It is not very surprising that Murat Kurum has returned after losing the Istanbul election; Mehmet Özhaseki had also lost the Ankara elections. This situation leads their own party base to ask the question, 'Are there no other successful names?'"
Expressing that the Kanal Istanbul project will return to the agenda with Kurum's arrival, Kulat spoke as follows:
"Erdoğan's reappointment of Murat Kurum, who lost the election, is not something that can be understood, but there is the Kanal Istanbul project, which was camouflaged during the election period.
In the coming days, Kurum may confront the IMM with this project. With the arrival of Murat Kurum, the Kanal Istanbul project will definitely come to the agenda. Because they have made very large investments in the regions surrounding Kanal Istanbul."
