Woman living in Ankara files paternity suit against US President Trump: Demands DNA test!

Necla Özmen, a 55-year-old living in Ankara, has filed a paternity suit at the Ankara 27th Family Court, claiming that United States President Donald Trump (79) may be her biological father due to uncertainties in civil registry records and stories she heard from her family. Özmen alleged that her biological mother was a US citizen and that she had a relationship with Trump during that period. Citing contradictions in her birth certificate and unclear information regarding her biological family, Özmen requested that the paternity link be officially established. Seeking to file a similar lawsuit in the US, Özmen also sent a petition to the family court via the embassy.

Started her research with the words "This is your father"

Speaking to an İhlas News Agency reporter, Özmen stated that she was born in 1970 and that her biological mother was a US citizen named Sofia. Explaining that her biological mother gave her up for adoption to the couple Dursun and Satı Özmen, she recounted her experience with these words:

"Because the person she gave me to for adoption had a child before who had died, they registered me under their name. In 2017, when I saw Mr. Trump on the news during the presidential election, the mother who raised me said, 'This is your father.' I didn't want to believe it much at the time, but I researched it; I couldn't reach him back then. Later, I tried to reach him. I took it to court, to the Turkish court, to the family court. The file was rejected there. I sent it to the appellate court. Later, I wrote a letter to the embassy, to be forwarded to the family court. I want to prove that Mr. Trump is my father. I can do that with a DNA test."

NATO duty and stories about the past

Stating that the person who raised her had served in NATO in the past, Özmen shared the information passed on to her family as follows:

"They met my biological mother during those times. They told the family who raised me that he did not accept me, and that he was already 25-26 years old and a soldier at the time. He gave information about me, and occasionally asked for information about me over the phone, but I was told that he had fallen ill and passed away. But I don't know how true that is."

"I want him to accept me into his family"

Stating that she wishes for Donald Trump to accept her into his family, Özmen expressed her expectation with these words:

"I mean, I hope he turns out to be my father; my only wish is to meet him face to face. I want to meet as a family. I want him to claim me, along with my siblings and himself. I want him to accept me into his family."

The question of "Why was I abandoned?"

Explaining what she would ask if she were to meet Trump, Özmen expressed her feelings as follows:

"Why was I abandoned? Maybe he knows, maybe he doesn't. I don't want to judge him unilaterally. But I really felt a connection inside. I mean, I have a strong resemblance to one of my sisters. I also have a resemblance to my father, a very, very strong resemblance. I feel a warmth, but I don't know what I would say when we come face to face. Also, since I don't know English, I'm thinking about how we would communicate. I hope the end brings me happiness in 2026."

"I would prefer to live with my father"

Saying that she could go to the US if it is proven that Trump is her biological father, Özmen concluded her words as follows:

"I grew up in Turkey. I grew up according to the traditions here. Of course, Turkey is a beautiful country. I will never give up on Turkey. But I would prefer to live with my father."
